Student Council

6TH GRADE STUDENTS

Marengo Ranch 6th graders who wish to be involved in student leadership may run for student council offices: president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, activities director, safety patrol lead, and communications chair. Students fill out paperwork, seek approval to run for offices, and prepare speeches to present the all of the 6th grade students. Once speeches are given, elections are held, and students are selected by their peers for the council positions. Monthly meetings are held with student council members in order to plan and carry out school-based projects and activities.

STUDENT COUNCIL POSITIONS

In addition to the student council positions for 6th graders, class representatives are selected for each classroom in grades 3-6. Student council members meet with class representatives to discuss school issues, concerns, and ideas for activities. Monthly meetings are held with the class representatives.
